Submit a Project for a Tour

Our guidelines helps preserve the integrity of MA! Architecture Tour, being a trusted activity and source of inspiration for all in love with and passionate about thoughtful architecture and design. We all have a role in its success.

MA! Architecture Tour Guidelines

— Only exemplary contemporary residential and commercial projects will be selected for the 2025 MA! Architecture Tour.

— Approval from homeowners/appropriate authority for submission (in writing via this contract).

— IMPORTANT: Submissions must include 4-6 hi-resolution professional grad (300dpi, 4 to 6MB minimum quality) electronic images of exterior and interior; a 300-500 word project-description

— Homes must be completed and furnished (note: home that is unfurnished could be staged by a MA! sponsor, staging fee applies, email elayne@ma-designishuman.com).

— All submitted homes must be structurally complete at the time of submission, however, consideration will be granted based on % of completion at MA!’s discretion. An in-person walk-through of the home may be requested.

— Projects must be clean and prepped for tour

— Proof of Insurance (speculative properties)

MA! Responsibilities

— Promotion, brochures, general map and guides for the tour.

— MA! will manage tour attendee flow through homes (4 volunteers/docents per project/per day) and guide visitors through the project in a timely and orderly fashion.

— Kick-off press and attendee party to celebrate the tour.

— Although we don’t expect disruptive attendees and MA! will do everything within reason to protect property, MA! is not responsible for any damages or losses to property or persons incurred during the tour.

— Children under 8 are not allowed to attend the event.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must occur before 21 May 2025 so that we can remove the home from the event materials and promotions.

Cancellations that come in after this date may be subject to a cancellation fee of $500.00 to cover printing, marketing, and communication costs.

The use of the project is strictly limited to the conditions strictly outlined in the binding contract between MA! and appropriate parties.

Projects selected and taking part in MA! ARCHITECTURE TOUR for 2025 may not assign, leverage, sublet, share or apportion the whole or any part of the project; and may not represent, advertise, post, market or distribute literature or marketing material; promoting any services and products are prohibited — not limited to the following: manufacturers of products for the home or commercial projects including furniture, general contractor or design services, landscaping services, appliances, or technology, showrooms, retailers, distributors, or any parties — without the express approval of MA!

Copyright and Photography

Submitted project copy permits MA! and partners the right to use, including photography, without compensation in the context of MA! ARCHITECTURE TOUR and MA! promotions, marketing, advertising, events and exhibitions. Notwithstanding the aforesaid this includes – without a restriction in time – the worldwide use of the submitted photos in any media, in particular any print-media (e.g. magazines, newspapers, books) and electronic/digital offline and online media, on MA! or associated websites or social internet platforms and networks).

To protect the copyright of the photographer, MA! will use the submitted photos only in low resolution whenever this is reasonable and technically possible (e.g. on the internet). If provided, credits will be given according to the customary practice in the media business.

3rd Party Participation and Commercial Activity tied to MA! Architecture Tour

All participants are required to adhere to our Standards of Fairness on any 3rd-Party and commercial activity tied to MA! Architecture Tour, including any of MA!-branded associated programming.

MA! understands that projects submitted for the tours represent a holistic combination of architecture, materials, landscaping, and products. Submitting parties (architects, designers, homeowners, client) must communicate to MA! beforehand, the names and contacts of 3rd parties who are interested in promoting their companies, services and products during the various tours. MA! will then contact these individuals discuss options for participation. Failure to communicate this information could result in additional fees or penalties applied to the 3rd party’s participation.

Any commercial activity taking part in MA Architecture Tour 2025 is strictly limited to the conditions strictly outlined above in this binding contract between MA! and appropriate parties.
